Download Huōn Studio. Launch the installer (macOS). The VST and AU plugins as well as the standalone app will be automatically placed in the standard folders. Note: Huōn Studio is currently available for macOS only.

These sound examples are generated entirely using the Huōn Studio VST plugin – without any manual input. A custom Auto-Play tool controls all available parameters: frequencies, rhythms, modulations, effects, and more. Each parameter receives random values at defined time intervals, interpolated smoothly through the so-called timeshift parameters.
This creates organic progressions, ever-changing textures – alive, surprising, and coherent. Every sound becomes a small universe that unfolds from within. The full potential of the Huōn Studio plugin becomes tangible: binaural beats, isochronic tones, noise textures, arpeggiators, delay, reverb, modulation – everything resonates.
Huōn Modules
The modules form the core of Huōn Studio. Each one has been designed to make sound tangible in new and profound ways – from frequency generation to modular audio effects and intuitive MIDI control. Huōn Studio was developed as part of my master’s thesis – guided by the idea of exploring sound as a medium for healing and expanded awareness. What began as part of a multimedia performance grew into an independent plugin through scientific research on frequencies like binaural beats and isochronic tones – back then still named Healea.

What Do Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones Do?
What Are Binaural Beats?
Binaural beats are perceived as pulsating tones in a specific rhythm. They consist of two pure tones with slightly different frequencies, played separately into each ear.
When listened to through headphones, the brain creates the illusion of a third tone – the difference between the two frequencies.
Within minutes, the brainwaves begin to synchronize with this new frequency – the desired effect emerges depending on the frequency difference.
What Are Isochronic Tones & Monaural Beats?
Isochronic tones are monaural signals with similar effects to binaural beats.
The difference: they can be played over speakers – no headphones needed – offering greater flexibility.
Isochronic tones and monaural beats are also perceived as rhythmic pulses and can be easily integrated into music productions.
While isochronic tones consist of rapid, evenly spaced pulses, monaural beats arise from a continuously modulated tone without interruptions.
